Sei superstizioso? Se si… in cosa si manifesta la tua “superstizione”?..Qualche rito scaramantico?
Non sono particolarmente superstizioso, e può capitare che a volte intenzionalmente dica o faccia qualcosa in opposizione alla superstizione. Naturalmente la religione è considerata da molti come una superstizione, e, avendo in passato studiato per diventare un prete cattolico, può capitare che dica, prima di salire sul palcoscenico:”Alla tua Gloria, Dio!”.
Che rapporto hai con la spiritualità?
Avendo appena detto di aver studiato per diventare un prete cattolico, devo chiarire che ogni volta che mi chiedono se sono religioso, affermo di credere che la religione sia un mezzo verso il fine di esser spiritualmente connesso.
Hai mai sofferto d’invidia? Se si… di chi?
Invidiare qualcuno e secondo me è negativo, e l’esatto contrario è ammirare qualcuno. Inoltre, invidiare qualcuno significherebbe che avrei meno stima di me stesso e delle mie abilità nell’ottenere qualunque cosa mi prefigga, e credo che non ci sia nulla che io non possa ottenere se decido di ottenerla. Quindi la risposta è no, non ho mai invidiato nessuno.
Che cosa avresti fatto se non avessi fatto il cantante lirico?
Sin da piccolo volevo diventare un prete che gioca a baseball, anche se non sono ancora sicuro come avrei fatto a unire le due cose. Forse sarei stato un coach di baseball per un’istituzione cattolica. Insegnare (canto, lingue, sport, arti marziali) è una mia passione, ma non mi sarebbe neanche dispiaciuto esser un falegname, un idraulico o un elettricista.
La tua famiglia ha influenzato le tue scelte?
In modo un po’ indiretto credo di esser stato influenzato dalla mia famiglia su alcune delle mie scelte. Mia madre si è convertita al Cattolicesimo prima di sposare mio padre, e quindi frequentare la scuola cattolica e conoscere la vita delle suore, preti e frati era collegata alla mia decisione di cercare di diventare un prete, anche se la mia grande decisione di entrare in seminario fu resa ancor più drammatica quando un ufficiale di reclutamento di West Point venne alla mia scuola superiore (East Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio) per vedere se volessi diventare un cadetto alla famosa accademia militare. Sia mio padre che il mio fratello maggiore erano stati nell’esercito, per cui, anche se scelsi il seminario, dopo non esser riuscito a completate quella vocazione, mi sono trovato due volte presso un ufficio di reclutamento per vedere se potessi lasciarmi convincermi a entrare in Marina.
Quali sono i tuoi ricordi più cari?
I miei ricordi più cari riguardano quattro eventi: 1) vincere una partita di basket del Junior Varsity District (contro un St. Ignatius imbattuto) come attaccante titolare, miglior rimbalzista e 2 ° miglior marcatore in una squadra imbattuta, e una squadra che era rimasta imbattuta nelle due stagioni precedenti, il che significa che la partita n. 53 nella serie di vittorie era a rischio, e ci sono volute ben tre sessioni in più per ottenerlo; 2) sostenere un’audizione per il Metropolitan Opera e ricevere un contratto (come cover del ruolo di Manoah in Samson di Händel all’età di 28 anni; 3) vincere il primo premo al Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane di Busseto; 4) sposare mia moglie, Dawn, a Torino nel 2011.
Qual è il profumo della tua infanzia?
Il profumo dell’incenso e dei fiori durante la Messa.
Qual è stato il tuo momento di maggior orgoglio?
Il momento in cui il vicesindaco di Torino pronunciò che io e Dawn eravamo marito e moglie (che fu mandato in onda durante il telegiornale della sera).
Qual è la delusione più grande che hai mai avuto?
La mia delusione più grande è stata quella di lasciare il seminario cattolico. E forse ancor di più (ero un teenager) non poter accompagnare qualcuno a casa, forse 8 isolati, di sera perché avevo un piede ingessato e le stampelle, e furono aggrediti.
Cosa manca nella tua vita oggi?
Quel che oggi manca nella mia è il rapporto che avevo con il mio amico e mentore Fra Hugh Henderson, ora defunto, che mi incoraggiò ad entrare in seminario, e il suo legame con la comunità della fede di cui faceva parte, e di cui, per estensione, facevo parte anch’io, essendogli molto vicino.
Ti emozioni con facilità?
Sì, mi reputo una persona sensibile e credo di emozionarmi con facilità.
Cosa ti fa più paura?
La paura di non esser preparato per incarichi o sfide difficili.
Che cosa ti annoia?
Pochissime cose mi annoiano dato che di solito cerco di trovare il maggior entusiasmo possibile in tutto quello che faccio.
Che cosa ti fa ridere?
Più che altro rido del mio senso dell’umorismo e del senso dell’umorismo altrui a patto che non degradi altra gente.
Credi più nell’amicizia o nell’amore?
Nel libro “I quattro amori”, C. S. Lewis descrive perfettamente il concetto di affetto, amicizia, amore erotico e amore di Dio. Quindi in questa prospettiva (con cui concordo), l’ “amicizia” è soltanto un tipo o un aspetto dell’amore. Ho fatto esperienza delle profonde qualità dell’amicizia, e delle profonde qualità dell’amore di Dio, e trovo che quando queste sono unite nel modo più altruista, incarnano la Regola D’Oro alla perfezione. Per cui credo egualmente nell’Amore e nell’Amicizia.
Hai un sogno ricorrente?
Sì, ma il sogno che facevo ripetutamente in passato è svanito in questi ultimi dieci anni. Nel mio sogno mi ero fatto male durante la mia ultima stagione di pallacanestro alle scuole superiori, e sfruttavo quel tempo per diventare migliore a fare ciò in cui non ero molto bravo (più che altro lanciare la palla con assoluta precisione) cercando allo stesso tempo di non peggiorare la lesione durante la convalescenza. Però non l’ho fatto, e il mio ginocchio, anche se stava guarendo da una leggera frattura, si riempì di liquido proprio nel momento cruciale in cui stavo per rimettermi in moto. La mia ultima stagione finì prima che fossi guarito del tutto, e quindi il mio sogno ricorrente era sempre quello di tornare a scuola per competere in un’ultima stagione nella squadra di pallacanestro. Un altro sogno che avevo costantemente era legato al mio sogno di diventare un giocatore di baseball professionista, e quindi sognavo di giocare soltanto in una partita per la squadra del Cleveland, al Municipal Stadium, dove sono andato con mio nonno in varie occasioni.
Che importanza dai al denaro?
Quando ero in seminario con la Società del Preziosissimo Sangue, l’Ordine mi pagava $75 quando presi i voti. Certamente in quanto prete si sarebbero presi cura di molte altre delle mie necessità, ma anche se l’Ordine non pretendeva un Voto di Povertà, mi abituai molto presto a avere solo una cella (una piccola camera) con un letto, un tavolo e un inginocchiatoio. Pertanto i soldi hanno per me ben poca importanza se non per pagare le bollette e per avere in più quel tanto che basta per darne un po’ alla mia famiglia e se possibile ad alcuni enti di beneficienza.
In cosa sei più spendaccione?
Non posso dire che mi piaccia spendere soldi, ma se per spendere vale anche pagare le bollette, così da non essere in debito, allora è proprio questo che mi regala la maggior soddisfazione.
Collezioni qualche oggetto? Se si, come è iniziata questa collezione?
Non colleziono nulla intenzionalmente. Ho alcuni diapason, melodiche e metronomi che chiamo “strumenti del mestiere”, ma generalmente evito l’accumulo di cose materiali e di solito cerco di disfarmene il più velocemente possibile. Socrate si faceva spesso vedere al mercato, e quando gli veniva chiesto perché, dato che non comprava mai nulla, rispondeva “rimango sempre sorpreso di fronte a tutte le cose di cui posso fare a meno”
Quali sono le tue letture preferite?
1) “La strada meno percorsa” di Scott M. Peck; 2) “Le sette regole per avere successo” di Stephen Covey”; 3) la Bibbia.
In quale o quali città ti identifichi?
Posso dire di avere un legame naturale con molti elementi della mia città nativa Cleveland, Ohio, ma la mia carriera mi ha portato in molte città che ho studiato e con cui posso ora dire di avere un legame speciale, come Chicago, New York, Toronto, San Francisco, San Diego, Tampa, Bruxelles, Milano, Torino, Francoforte e Parigi.
Colore preferito?
Il rosso borgogna, una sfumatura del bordeaux.

Qual è stato primo disco che hai acquistato?
Un disco con le canzoni del film “Mary Poppins”
Qual è il film che hai amato di più?
“Tutti insieme appassionatamente”.
Qual è la stagione dell’anno che preferisci e perché?
L’autunno, a causa delle foglie e dei ricordi di quando andavo alle esercitazioni di pallacanestro e ai raduni di cross county.
Che rapporto hai con la tecnologia e qual è il gadget tecnologico di cui non potresti fare a meno?
Possiedo sempre l’ultimo tipo di gadget tecnologico, e sono stato uno dei primi ad avere un video phone che si chiamava VisiTel, e ho tutti i miei ruoli operistici e le mia arie trascritte in un software di annotazione, cosa che faccio da moltissimi anni. Se esce un dispositivo migliore e più nuovo non vedo l’ora di provarlo. Ho un mini registratore Sony che mi permette di cambiare velocità e di ripetere brevi sezioni in continuazione. È davvero indispensabile.
Che rapporto hai con la televisione?
Mi piace moltissimo guardare alcuni vecchi programmi televisivi, di solito in bianco e nero, ma di solito salto da un canale all’altro per vedere se c’è qualcosa di interessante per un massimo di 15 minuti prima di spegnere la TV e tornare a lavorare al computer.
Che rapporto hai con la politica?
Con una laurea major in Sociologia direi che mi sono sempre sentito attratto dalla responsabilità di esser impegnato politicamente, per cui in genere non mi mancano le parole per esprimere un punto di vista politico.
Hai delle cause che ti stanno particolarmente a cuore?
Con la masterclass che ho dato sulla Preparazione dei Ruoli, sono rimasto estremamente coinvolto negli elementi fisici, vocali, musicali, drammatici e linguistici dell’opera lirica, ma ho sempre amato lavorare con i bambini e cantare per un pubblico più anziano.
Giorno o notte?
Sono tendenzialmente una persona notturna, e a volte l’ispirazione mi arriva ben dopo la mezzanotte.
Qual è la situazione che consideri più rilassante?
Direi che le sessioni di Tai Chi, o fare il giocoliere durante gli esercizio di solfeggio cantanti possono esser molto rilassanti.
Qual è il tuo ideale di giornata?
La mia giornata ideale inizia con fare esercizi di stretching, salto con la corda, scatti di velocità, e poi vocalizzi. Poi faccio colazione o qualcosa di semplice come una mela, mandorle e un power shake, seguiti da tè verde o allo zenzero. Dopo canto alcune parti dei miei ruoli preferiti come l’Olandese volante, Mefistofele o i Quattro Cattivi da Les contes d’Hoffmann. Poi mi piace giocare un po’ a tennis o a ping pong, seguiti da una rapida corsa in bicicletta. Un po’ di conversazione interessante con un mio amico sull’interpretazione musicale a cena, e poi mi piace suonare il pianoforte, fare un bagno nella vasca ad idromassaggio, sedermi su una sedia per massaggi e poi andare a letto.
Qual è la vacanza o il viaggio che vorresti fare e che non hai ancora fatto?
Non saprei…Mi piace viaggiare per andare a far visita ai miei familiari, ma è sempre interessante anche andare in posti in cui non sono mai stato.
Com’è il tuo rapporto con il cibo?
Io mangio per vivere, e non vivo per mangiare. Mi piacciono i cibi che mi danno un’energia immediata. Mi piacciono molto le insalate perché ci posso mettere qualunque cosa mi venga in mente e che abbia un bell’aspetto con tutti i colori dello spettro.
Qual è il tuo piatto preferito?
Oltre alle insalate, direi che mi sono abituato a godermi un bel piatto di salmone arrostito, broccoli al vapore e una patata al forno.
Se ami cucinare, qual è il tuo piatto forte? Sempre se cucini… il tuo piatto veloce per eccellenza…
Sì, so cucinare, direi che piatti a base di riso che uniscano verdure e mandorle o noci possono esser molto invitanti. Posso mettere insieme un gustosissimo piatto a base di spinaci, tonno e riso molto velocemente.
Vino rosso o bianco?
Preferisco il rosso.
La musica è stata una vocazione?
Quando ho lasciato il seminario dovevo per forza trovare qualcos’altro che potessi considerare una vocazione, e la musica, o l’opera in generale, è tutto questo.
A chi non conoscesse la tua voce, cosa faresti ascoltare?
I punti di forza di base della mia voce sono l’estensione (acuti, gravi), agilità, e le parole che espresse con il miglior legato possibile.
Come segui l’evoluzione della tua voce?
Seguo l’evoluzione della mia voce attraverso le mie vecchie  registrazioni, e la consapevolezza che ogni volta che canto qualcosa deve esser migliore dell’ultima volta che l’ho cantata, o perlomeno diversa.
Se ti fosse data l’opportunità di scegliere un ruolo, cosa canteresti?
I ruoli verdiani di Rigoletto, Macbeth e Nabucco sono un’opzione, ma anche l’Olandese Volante, Mefistofele e i “Quattro Cattivi”  de Les contes d’Hoffmann sono in cima alla lista.
Ti piace il successo?
Esser in grado di spuntare tutte le voci necessarie a eseguire con successo un ruolo, un recital, un’incisione o un concerto è una grande emozione, che mi piace moltissimo.
Cosa fai un’ora prima di salire sul palco?
Faccio spesso il giocoliere mentre ripasso i momenti più difficili, faccio un po’ di solfeggio, o suono delle melodie sulla melodica.
Cosa non manca mai nel tuo camerino?
Non mancano le carte da gioco, precisamente quelle che in inglese vengono chiamate “cue cards”.
A cosa pensi quando ti guardi allo specchio?
Quando mi guardo allo specchio di solito cerco di trovare nel mio atteggiamento e nelle mie espressioni il personaggio che sto interpretando.
Stato d’animo attuale?
Avendo appena buttato giù molte informazioni dettagliate, sono certamente molto ansioso di discutere di queste cose con qualcuno.
Il tuo motto?
Unisco il mio motto dalle prime tre produzioni che ho cantato una dopo l’altra: 1) Godspell; 2) The Wiz,; 3) The man of La Mancha, e quindi: “Tutte le cose sono possibili con Dio (WITH GOD), mentre si guarda sull’arcobaleno OVER THE RAINBOW, sognando il sogno impossibile (THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM)

Which is your star sign?
My astrological sign is CANCER.
 Are you superstitious? And if yes, about what? Is there any particular ritual related?
I am not particularly superstitious, and there are times when I will actually go out of my way to do or say something in opposite to superstition. Of course RELIGION is viewed by many as a superstition, and having studied at one time to be a Catholic Priest, I find myself falling back on the practice of saying (before I go out on stage): “To your GLORY, oh God!”
 Are you a spiritual person?
Having just stated that I studied at one time to be a Catholic Priest, I should clarify that whenever, or IF EVER I am asked whether I am religious, I state that I believe religion to be a MEANS to the END of being Spiritually CONNECTED. So yes, I believe myself to o be a spiritual person.
 Have you ever envied someone? And if yes, who?
To envy someone is a bit of a negative in my view, with the preferred opposite being to ADMIRE someone. Also, to envy another person would mean that I would feel LESS about myself and my own abilities to achieve whatever it is I put my mind to, and I believe there is NOTHING that I cannot achieve if I put my mind to it. So the answer is NO, I have never envied someone or anyone.
 What would you have done if you did not become an opera singer?
From an early age I aspired to be a baseball playing priest, though I am still not sure how I would have been able to combine those two. Maybe I would have been a coach of baseball at a Catholic institution. Teaching (voice, languages, sports, martial arts) is a passion, and I would also not have disliked being a carpenter, a plumber or an electrician.
 Did your family influence your choices?
In somewhat of an indirect manner I think I was influenced by my family concerning a few of my choices. My mother converted to Catholicism before she was married to my dad, so attending Catholic schools and getting to know about the lives of priests, brothers and nuns was connected to my decision to try to become a priest, though my major decision to enter the seminary was made more dramatic when a recruiter from West Point came to my high school (East Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio) to see if I wanted to become a cadet at the famous military academy. Both my father and my oldest brother had been in the military, so even though I chose the seminary, after failing to complete that vocation I found myself twice at a marine recruiting office seeing if I could be convinced to join.
Which is your most cherished memory?
My most cherished memory involves FOUR events: (1) winning a Junior Varsity District basketball game (against an undefeated St. Ignatius) as the starting forward, leading rebounder and 2nd leading scorer on an undefeated team, and a team which was undefeated for two previous seasons, meaning game #53 in the streak was on the line, and it took THREE overtimes sessions to get it done; (2) auditioning for and being given a Metropolitan Opera Contract (as a cover for Manoah in Handel’s Samson) at age 28, (3) Winning 1st Prize in the International Verdi Competition in Busseto, Italy, and (4) Getting married to my wife, Dawn, in Turin, Italy in 2011.
What’s the smell you associate with your childhood?
The smell of the incense and flowers at mass.
The moment you felt the proudest?
The moment the Deputy Mayor of Turin, Italy (which was put on the evening news) pronounced that my wife, Dawn and I were MARRIED.
The greatest disappointment?
My greatest disappointment was leaving the Catholic seminary. And probably more (as a teenager) not walking someone home (maybe 8 blocks) after dark, just because I had on a foot cast and crutches, and they were assaulted.
What’s missing in your life today?
What’s missing in my life today is the connection I had with my friend and mentor Br. Hugh Henderson (now deceased), who encouraged me to enter the Catholic seminary), and his connection to the faith community he was a part of, and which by extension I was a part of by being close to him.
Do you get emotional easily?
I believe I do get emotional very easily.
What are you afraid of the most?
I am most afraid of being unprepared for difficult tasks.
What bores you?
There is very little that bores me because I usually try to find the most excitement possible in everything I do.
 What makes you laugh?
I laugh most at my own humor and the humor of others that does not degrade other people.
Do you believe more in love or friendship?
In C. S. Lewis’ book “The Four Loves” he lays out very well the concepts of affection, friendship, erotic love, and the love of God. So with this perspective (which I agree with) “friendship” is only one TYPE or ASPECT of love. I have experienced the deep qualities of FRIENDSHIP, and I have experienced the deep qualities of the LOVE OF GOD, and I have found that when they are COMBINED in their most unselfish way, they embody the Golden Rule to perfection. So I believe EQUALLY in Love and Friendship.
 Do you have a recurrent dream?
Yes, but the dream that I USED to have over and over again has faded over the last ten years or so. I was injured during my last basketball season in high school, and I used that time to get better at what I wasn’t as good at (mostly shooting the basketball with pinpoint accuracy) while trying not to aggravate my injury during recovery. I didn’t do that and my knee, though healing from a slight fracture, took on fluid at a crucial time when I was about to be activated. My last season ended before I totally healed, so my recurring dream was always going back to high school to compete in one last season on the basketball team. Another dream that I would constantly have was connected to my dream of becoming a profession baseball player, so I would dream of playing in just one game for the Cleveland baseball team, at Municipal Stadium where I went with my grandfather on several occasions.
 How important is money to you?
When I was in the seminary with the Society of the Most Precious Blood, that Order would have paid me $75 per month when I was ordained. Certainly as a priest many of the other necessities would have been taken care of, but even though the order did not require a Vow of Poverty, I got very used to the idea of having a cell (small bedroom) with a bed, a desk and a kneeler. So money has little importance to me other than paying bills and having a bit of excess to give to family and possibly a few charities.
 What is the item you like spending money on the most?
I can’t say I LIKE spending money on anything, but if paying bills qualifies, so that I am not in DEBT, then THAT probably gives me the most satisfaction.
 Do you collect anything?
And if yes, how did this collection start? (Answer): I can’t say I purposefully collect ANYTHING. I have a few different pitch pipes, melodicas, and metronomes that I call “tools of my trade”, but I pretty much shun the accumulation of material things and look to usually get rid of them as quickly as I possibly can. Socrates was often seen in the marketplace, and when asked WHY, because he never bought anything, he would comment, “I am always amazed at all the things I CAN DO WITHOUT.”
 Which are your favorite readings?
I am known for my THREE favorite books being, (1) Scott Peck’s “The Road Less Travelled”, (2) Stephen Covey’s “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”, and (3) The BIBLE.
 What city or cities do you relate to the most?
From my childhood home of Cleveland, Ohio, I can say I naturally relate to many of its elements, but my career has had me connected to many cities that I have studied and I can say I now RELATE to quite well, such as Chicago, New York, Toronto, San Francisco, San Diego, Tampa, Brussels, Milan, Turin, Frankfurt and Paris.
Favorite color?
I would say my favorite color is Burgundy.
 Favorite flower?
My favorite flower is the Rose.
Your favorite singer(s)?

 The film you love the most?

Your favorite season and why?
Autumn, because of the leaves and memories of heading to basketball practice and cross country meets.
 How is your relationship with technology and what is the electronic gadget you can’t do without?
I have been known to always have the latest technological equipment, being one of the first to use what was a Video Phone called the VisiTel, and I have all of my opera roles and songs transcribed into notation software, which I have been doing for many, many years. If there is a newer and better tool to use I am always keen to try it out. I have a Sony mini tape recorder, that allows me to change speeds and to repeat small sections over and over again. It is pretty essential.
 How’s your attitude towards TV?
I very much like watching some of the old time TV shows that are usually in black and white, but otherwise I will surf through channels to see if there is anything interesting for a maximum of about 15 minutes before usually giving up and going back to work on the computer.
How is your relationship with politics?
As a Sociology Major I would say I have always been drawn to the responsibility of being politically involved, so I am rarely at a loss for words concerning a political point of view.
Do you have causes that are very important for you?
With the Masterclass I have given on Role Preparation, I have become involved in the physical, vocal, musical, dramatic and linguistic elements of opera to an extreme degree, but I have always enjoyed working with children, and singing for senior citizens.
Day or night?
I am definitely a NIGHT person, as sometimes inspiration will hit me well after midnight.
What is the situation you consider the most relaxing?
I would say doing Tai Chi sessions or juggling while singing solfeggio exercises can be quite relaxing.
Tell us your ideal day.
My ideal day starts with stretching out, jumping rope, doing some wind sprints, and then some vocalizes. Next, I would have a breakfast of something simple like an apple, almonds and a power shake, followed by a ginger or green tea. After that I would sing through major parts of a favorite role like the Dutchman, Mefistofele or the Four Villains from the Tales of Hoffmann. Next, I would very much enjoy doing some tennis or table tennis drills, followed by a brisk bike ride. Some interesting talk with a friend concerning musical interpretation over dinner, and then I would enjoy playing some piano, the melodica and the violin, singing some favorite songs before watching an interesting movie, taking a whirlpool bath, sitting in a massage chair, and then going to bed.
The holiday or the trip you’d like to take?
I enjoy taking trips to visit family, but going to a place I have never been is always very interesting.
 How would you define your relation with food?
I definitely Eat to Live, as opposed to Living to Eat. I enjoy food that gives me an immediate LIFT. Salads are very much a favorite because I can put in whatever comes to mind and that looks extremely beautiful with all the colors of spectrum.
Your favorite dish?
Outside of salads, I would say I’ve gotten used to enjoying a plate with broiled salmon, steamed broccoli and a baked potato.
 Can you cook? What’s your specialty? And what’s the dish you cook more quickly?
Yes I can cook, and I would say some rice dishes that combine vegetables and nuts can be very appealing. Very quickly I can throw together a spinach, tuna, rice dish that’s very tasty.
Red or white wine?
I prefer red wine.
Was music a vocation?
When I left the seminary I pretty much HAD to find something else that I could consider a vocation, and music, or opera in general is ALL of that.
What would you want someone who doesn’t know your voice to listen to?
The basics strengths of my voice are RANGE (top notes, low notes), AGILITY, and the WORDS that are expressed within a balance of the most LEGATO LINE that’s possible.
How do you monitor the evolution of your voice?
I would say I monitor the evolution of my voice by past recordings, and the knowledge that each time I sing something it must be better than the last time I sang it, or at least DIFFERENT.
If you were granted the chance to choose a role, which one would it be?
The Verdi roles of Rigoletto, Macbeth and Nabucco could be a toss up, or the Dutchman, Mefistofele, or the Four Villains are all right up there.
Do you enjoy success?
To be able to Check Off all the items necessary to perform a role, a recital, a recording, or a concert successfully is a great thrill, and I do enjoy that very much.
What do you do an hour prior to go on stage?
I would say I am usually juggling through a few tricky sections, doing some solfeggio, or just playing a few melodies on the melodica.
What’s never missing in your dressing room?
A Cue Card system is probably never missing, but other than that it is not usually up to me what is in the dressing room.
What do you think of when looking at yourself in the mirror?
When I look in the mirror at myself I am usually try to find the character I am playing in my stance and expressions.
Your mood at the moment?
Having filled out a lot of detailed information, I am certainly very anxious to discuss these things with someone.
 What’s your motto?
I combine my motto from the first three productions I sang back to back to back: (1) Godspell, (2) The Wiz that Is, and (3) The Man of LaMancha, and that is: “All things are possible WITH GOD, while looking OVER THE RAINBOW, and dreaming THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM.”
